Agricultural Economics (in the reaccreditation process)

The Agricultural Economics study program prepares students for understanding, analysis, and management of economic processes in agriculture and the agrifood sector. The program connects economic knowledge with the fundamentals of agricultural production and enables students to acquire competencies for work in the fields of agribusiness, finance, trade, marketing, agricultural policy, and rural development.

The goal of the program is to equip students to make economic and business decisions in agriculture, manage agricultural holdings and enterprises, analyze markets and agricultural policy, as well as participate in the development of sustainable and competitive agrifood systems. Special emphasis is placed on agribusiness management, agricultural economics, agricultural policy, rural development, financial operations, marketing of agricultural and food products, as well as the application of data and analysis in the business decision-making process.

At the same time, it encourages the development of entrepreneurial ideas and active participation in the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas.

The Department of Agricultural Economics, with a long tradition in education and research, as well as developed cooperation with the economy, institutions, and the alumni community, provides students with the opportunity to establish a connection between theoretical knowledge and the practical challenges of modern agribusiness during their studies.
