Freshman Guide

with this Guide, we want to clarify, in a simple and practical way, the basic concepts and any doubts regarding certain issues that may arise during your studies at the faculty, and especially in the first days or months of staying in a new environment. For example, do not be surprised if a professor calls you “colleague”, because this is the usual way professors or assistants address students, and it indicates, above all, the academic respect shown to you, as well as the same expectations from you when you are at the faculty.

On the following pages, we want to introduce you in the most understandable way possible to the basic concepts you will encounter during your studies, keeping in mind that you may not have thought about this before and that you may be facing some of them for the first time now. Especially while you are freshmen. Once you are experienced students, it probably won’t be as interesting to you because you will have become familiar with most of them.

It is very important to note that this Guide does not represent an official source of information on all these matters, but rather an unofficial and informal guide written in an easily understandable way, tailored to you freshmen. And remember right at the beginning of your studies: for official information, you must always research calls, rulebooks, and conditions, the websites of the faculty, university, ministries, and do not rely on hearsay stories.
