Mission and Vision

The mission of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, as an integral part of the university community, is to actively contribute to the economic, social, and cultural development of society by providing knowledge and sustainable solutions as an adequate response to rapid social changes and the digitalization of all areas of life, education, and business. The Faculty’s multidisciplinarity provides a strong foundation for further development, along with the continuous nurturing and enhancement of cooperation with other educational and scientific research institutions, research groups, and individuals in the country and abroad.

By applying high academic standards, rooted in the Faculty’s long tradition, modern spatial and material resources, and expert and dedicated teaching staff, students at all levels of study are enabled to acquire knowledge based on the latest scientific achievements, with the aim of the overall and sustainable development of society.

The vision of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad is to position itself as a leading higher education and scientific research institution in the fields of agriculture, veterinary medicine, and landscape architecture in the Republic of Serbia, as well as to be a recognizable and relevant partner in the regional and international academic and scientific arena. The Faculty’s excellence will rest on the continuous improvement of knowledge, the development of innovative approaches in education and research, and strong and sustainable cooperation with domestic and international institutions, the economy, and society as a whole. Through such activities, the Faculty will actively contribute to strengthening the reputation, visibility, and integration of the Republic of Serbia into global scientific, educational, and economic flows.

The realization of the vision of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad will be based on the following strategic directions of development:

• Independent and internationally recognized research work of top quality, aimed at solving current challenges in the fields of agriculture, veterinary medicine, landscape architecture, and sustainable development, while encouraging interdisciplinarity and knowledge transfer.
• Modern and high-quality study programs, aligned with the needs of the labor market, technological advancement, and the principles of lifelong learning, which enable students to acquire practical, applicable, and market-competitive knowledge and skills.
• Developed high-quality advisory and service activities, which contribute to the improvement of agricultural production, rural development, animal health, and landscape architecture, as well as the strengthening of ties between science, profession, and practice.
• Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial spirit through cooperation with the private and public sectors, including joint projects, the application of research results, the development of new technologies, and the commercialization of knowledge.
