Erasmus+ Program

Erasmus+ is the European Union program that provides funding for cooperation projects in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport, with the aim of improving the European Education Area.
The Faculty of Agriculture has been actively participating in all key actions of the Erasmus program since 2014, both through projects and through academic mobility networks. In the Erasmus Plus credit mobility program, students and staff are provided with study periods at partner universities abroad. These study periods, intended for student exchange and staff training, are financially supported by scholarships.
The Erasmus+ program enables Faculty employees to spend a certain time at a partner institution for the purpose of teaching or training/professional development, and students to spend up to 12 months at a partner university/institution on a scholarship-supported credit mobility for the purpose of studies or student traineeships.
Duration of mobility: minimum 2, maximum 3 months
The possibility of a student traineeship with an academic or non-academic partner abroad exists for all candidates who apply to an open call and whose mobility is accepted by the foreign partner institution.
The Erasmus Plus program offers financial support, and upon return, the student traineeship can be recognized as part of the study program curriculum at the home faculty.
Candidates may apply for mobility for studies only to those foreign institutions with which the University of Novi Sad has a concluded valid inter-institutional agreement, and which are listed within the text of the call.
Before going on academic mobility, the student should conclude a Learning Agreement, which is signed by the student, the home institution, and the host institution.
The Erasmus Plus program offers financial support, and upon return from mobility, academic recognition of the mobility period is carried out as part of the study program curriculum at the home faculty.
Duration of staff mobility at UNS: 5 working days plus 2 travel days.
The Erasmus+ program enables Faculty employees to spend a certain time at a partner institution for the purpose of teaching or training/professional development.
The candidate is obliged to apply to the published mobility call, within which evaluation and ranking of submitted applications are performed.
The application method is regulated by the rules and procedures of each mobility program, while the opportunity to apply opens through public calls.

CEEPUS Program
The program enables the mobility of students and university professors, as well as language learning courses and excursions. Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, participation in the exchange is also enabled for non-teaching staff employed at higher education institutions who actively participate in the work of the networks. An important feature of the program is university networks based on cooperation between at least five higher education institutions from at least five CEEPUS member states, where one institution acts as the network coordinator, while other institutions participate as partners.
The Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad actively participates in the CEEPUS mobility program through its own networks managed by the faculty coordinators.

Students who want to participate in academic exchange within the CEEPUS program have the option to choose one of four mobility categories depending on the academic purpose of the mobility, as well as the duration of the exchange stay:
Student (Student) – mobility category intended for students staying on exchange for at least three months and at most ten months. The main goal of this mobility is to acquire ECTS credits at the host institution.
Short-Term Student (Short Term Student)– intended for students staying on mobility for up to three months, primarily intended for candidates who want to conduct research for their final thesis/dissertation.
Short-Term Excursions (Short Term Excursions) – for participants of short-term group mobility within CEEPUS networks. It can last at least three days.
Short-Term Intensive Courses (Short Term Intensive Courses) – short-term group mobility in the form of summer/winter schools. They are expected to last longer than excursions, i.e., at least six days.
Students have the right to participate in the program if they have student status in the academic year in which the mobility takes place and if they have completed at least two semesters at the home institution. In the case of short-term group mobility, candidates who are in their first year of study also have the right to participate.
Teaching staff participating in the CEEPUS program are always registered under the Teacher category (even if participating in summer/winter schools). Teaching staff mobility can last a minimum of five working days, with the obligation to carry out at least six hours of teaching or mentoring per working week, while the lecturer’s stay often lasts a month.
Non-teaching staff represent employees at higher education institutions who actively participate in the work of the network. This type of mobility lasts a minimum of two and a maximum of five working days. Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, within the CEEPUS program, network meetings (Short Term Network Meetings) are planned. This type of mobility is intended only for local contact persons and can last from one to three working days.
