STUDY PROGRAM: ANIMAL PRODUCTION
The Animal Production study program prepares students for managing modern animal husbandry systems, with an emphasis on quality, sustainability, and welfare. The program encompasses the integration of biology, genetics, nutrition, reproduction, and modern technologies aimed at producing safe and high-quality products of animal origin.
The goal of the program is to equip students to implement the latest scientific achievements in livestock production, from selection and breeding to precision feeding and digital farm management. Special emphasis is placed on biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource use (such as pastures and wetlands), and the application of high standards in the production of milk, meat, and other animal products.
Why enroll in the Animal Production study program?
The study program offers a unique combination of fundamental biological sciences and practical engineering. Students are prepared for work in the dynamic food production sector, where they encounter state-of-the-art methods of genetic improvement and innovative approaches such as urban beekeeping or organic production.
The program ensures attractiveness through intensive practical training at experimental fields and renowned commercial farms, while international cooperation with leading European institutes enables access to global research projects and mobility.
The study program is an ideal choice for those who want to improve domestic agriculture, engage in the conservation of autochthonous breeds, and solve climate challenges through smart management of animal production resources.
Where can you find employment after graduation?
Upon graduation, graduated engineers of animal production have a wide range of career opportunities in:
- agricultural companies and farms for milk, meat, and egg production;
- the feed industry (quality control and feed formulation);
- breeding services and animal reproduction centers;
- the processing industry (dairies and meat industry – raw material control);
- advisory services and agricultural expert institutions;
- research institutes and diagnostic laboratories;
- government authorities and inspection services responsible for livestock and rural development;
- entrepreneurship in specialized production (beekeeping, cheese production, organic farming).
