Rankings and Appeals

Criteria for determining the ranking order of candidates on the rank list

A candidate applying for enrollment in the first year of undergraduate and integrated academic studies may apply for two study programs (under A and under B) during the application process. The order of preferences of the candidate under A and under B represents the priority when compiling the rank list.

After scoring, if the candidate under preference A qualifies for budget-funded enrollment, they will not be ranked on the list for preference B.

If the candidate under preference A qualifies for self-funded enrollment, they are also ranked on the list for preference B where they can qualify for budget-funded enrollment or self-funded enrollment.

The ranking order of candidates for enrollment in the first year of undergraduate and integrated academic studies is determined based on the general achievement in secondary school and the result achieved on the entrance exam. A candidate can achieve a maximum of 100 points in total based on both criteria.

When taking an entrance exam with two subjects, 10 questions are given for each, and when taking an entrance exam with one subject, 20 questions are given, with each question valued at three points in both cases.

A candidate is considered to have passed the entrance exam, and thus acquired the right to be ranked for enrollment, if they achieve at least 14 points on the entrance exam.

General achievement in secondary school refers to the sum of average grades from all subjects in the first, second, third, and fourth grade multiplied by 2. Based on this criterion, a candidate can acquire a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 points. General achievement in secondary school is calculated by rounding to two decimal places.

The result that a candidate can achieve on the entrance exam is scored from 0 to 60 points, rounded to two decimal places.

A candidate may enroll as a budget-funded student if they are on the unified rank list up to the number of approved candidates for budget-funded enrollment and if they score more than 50 points.

A candidate may enroll as a self-funded student if they are on the unified rank list up to the number of approved candidates for self-funded enrollment and if they score at least 30 points.

The Faculty organizes the entrance exam independently of the number of registered candidates for enrollment in the first year of undergraduate and integrated academic studies.
