The Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad was founded on November 20, 1954. The Faculty of Agriculture is one of the two oldest faculties of the University of Novi Sad and the only public higher education institution in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina that educates professionals in the fields of agriculture, landscape architecture, and veterinary medicine. The Faculty of Agriculture has become an indispensable and reliable partner and support to the domestic economy, individual producers, state institutions, and international organizations.
The Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad is a modern higher education and scientific institution that carries out its activities in accordance with its current Statute. The Statute, as the highest legal act of the Faculty, was adopted in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and the Law on Scientific Research Activity, that is, the Law on Science and Research. The activities of the Faculty are carried out within its organizational units – departments and the dean’s office. The organizational structure of the Faculty consists of departments with their organizational units and the dean’s office with the secretariat (shown in the block diagram).

Departments
A department is the basic educational, scientific, and entrepreneurial organizational unit of the Faculty. The Faculty consists of eight departments with their internal organizational units (chairs, institutes, experimental farms, laboratories, and centers). Each department is headed by a department director.
A chair, as an organizational unit within a department, carries out part of the educational activities of the Faculty. A chair is composed of teaching staff and associates from specific academic disciplines. Each chair is headed by a head of chair.
